This one-color letterpress print celebrating our beloved Big D was largely inspired by "City of Hate: Dallas and the Assassination," a thought-provoking documentary from friend of the shop, Quinn Matthews. The insightful film takes an indepth look at the Kennedy assassination and its impact on our city. The latitude and longitude coordinates mark the location of the shooting in Dealey Plaza, or one might say, where the world met Dallas. For five decades, those who remember it have regaled the rest of us with stories of where they were on that fateful day. With this print, we're keeping that tradition alive by asking, "Where Were You?”
Printed on 100#C Whip Cream French Pop Tone paper.
Signed and numbered 2nd edition of 100.
Print Size: 19” x 25"
We are WE ARE 1976!! Established in 2009 in Dallas, Texas, our family business has grown from a design gift shop, creative workshop space, and gallery for independent designers and artisans to include a graphic design and letterpress studio where we offer custom design work and printmaking services. All of our work is made entirely by hand at our shop in Dallas’s historic Bishop Arts District. Our influences include our Asian heritage, our goofy pets, cute things, cheeky humor, and the great design work found among the independent artist community in Dallas and beyond.
